FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: coupling includes pump and turbine wheels with blades, which form toroidal working area filled with working medium for transmission of torque moment. Accumulation space is connected to working area with possibility of working medium passage. In order to increase or decrease the transmitted torque moment, working medium is supplied from accumulation space to working area or from working area to accumulation space. Ratio of working area volume to the installation volume of coupling is more than 0.26 and less than 0.5. Installation volume of coupling is specified with outer diameter and axial length of coupling. Accumulation space can be located completely inside working area. Coupling hub can be made in the form of a hollow shaft with possibility of arranging the shaft in it.
EFFECT: providing the possibility of transmitting higher reducible power without increasing the coupling volume.
