SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a reed of a weaving loom comprising at least one lid, and at least one row of plates rigidly connected to the lid, and the lid closes the end of each plate, and the lid is equipped with bodies of direction the means of laying the weft threads in the shed, the end of at least one plate comprises at least one surface with a slope angle α, in relation to the longitudinal axis X33 of the end, and the angle α is, on one side, between the section of the longitudinal axis of X33 which is between the point Z of intersection of the axis X33 and axis X321 of the sectional plane of the inclined surface and the transverse edge of the end and, on the other side, the section of axis X321 which is between the point Z and the trace of the concerned surface, and is from 90° to 160°, the inclined surface is located opposite the corresponding surface of the lid which is not parallel to the longitudinal axis X33 of the end, the inclined surface is made with the ability of the appropriate surface of the lid to rest on it, when the latter tends to move in the direction F1 of the detachment of the lid from the plate substantially parallel to the axis X33, the inclined surface is also made with the ability to counteract the efforts of detachment of the lid from the plate operating in the direction F1 which is substantially parallel to the axis X33.
EFFECT: providing accurate positioning of plates and a lid towards the machine.
