FIELD: construction.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to equipment for winter maintenance of cities, aerodromes, transport and industrial facilities. A snow melter includes the following components arranged on the common frame: a loading hopper, through which snow is loaded into a melting chamber, a source of heat connected to a melting chamber, a device for draining water and a dirt collection bowl, an intensifier connected to a melting chamber arranged in the form of a generator, a wave guide and an applicator of ultrasonic range of wavelengths, is achieved by the fact that the source of heat is made in the form of at least one generator of wave radiation operating in the range that differs from the ultrasonic range of wavelengths connected via at least one waveguide at least with one applicator introduced into a melting chamber, and the water draining device is combined with the dirt collection bowl. The source of heat may be arranged on the basis of at least one generator, a waveguide and an applicator operating in a microwave range of wavelengths.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to increase efficiency of operation, to simplify and cheapen snow melter design.
