SUBSTANCE: washing machine comprises a rotating tank for placing the laundry, a heating channel forming a channel for feeding the hot air into the rotating tank, a heater mounted in the heating channel, and a steam generating element which is heated by the heater for generating steam fed to the rotating tank. The steam generating element comprises an element which is heated by contact with the heater. The element is a tubular element having an outer surface in contact with the heater and a hollow part for steam generation formed in it. The element can be a steam-generating plate one surface of which is in contact with the heater. A washing machine is proposed that can generate hot air and steam to feed into the rotating tank with use of a single heater.

EFFECT: preventing damage to the elements near the steam generator under the action of high-grade heat transferred by the steam generator.
