FIELD: personal use articles.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to museum equipment, it is designed for long term storage of museum pieces that are stored in the form of wound around the drums, for example, carpets, tapestries etc. The museum paternoster comprises a frame consisting of front and rear frames, a pair of driving and a pair of driven sprockets connected by vertically arranged chain loops on which removable drums are hinged, which are designed to place wound museum pieces on them. The driving sprockets are interconnected with a shaft-synchroniser. Each frame is made of a rectangular shape, and consists of the upper and lower horizontal bars and connecting them vertical racks arranged in parallel, and the frames are rigidly connected to each other by means of a longitudinal flat girder attached on the frames racks on which bearings of the driving and driven sprockets are installed. Each removable drum is made of steel mesh attached to both ends of the steel discs mounted on the central shafts, and along the entire length of the drum inside the mesh the rings are located, and the ends of the central shafts are mounted in the vertical chain loops. The paternoster frame is mounted on a mobile base with a wheel drive.

EFFECT: long-term preservation of museum pieces which are stored in a roll state.
