FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: in the power supply system and method the electric motor auxiliary winding (11) is serially connected to the voltage mains (Vac), the system including the first starting capacitor (14) and an electromechanical switch (12) serially connected to the auxiliary winding (11); the system contains an electronic switch (13) connected parallel to the serial connection of the electromechanical switch (12) and the starting capacitor (14). The electronic switch (13) and the electromechanical switch (12) are used for the auxiliary winding (11) actuation. The system is designed so that the electronic switch (13) may de actuated together with the electromechanical switch (12) and maintained in an actuated condition simultaneously with the electromechanical switch (12) during the stabilisation time (tb, td). Additionally disclosed is a method of the system regulation as per this invention.
EFFECT: reduction of the level of voltage in bidirectional switches present within the topology for interlocking the said switches and ensuring smooth switchover of the electromechanical bidirectional switch in place within the topology.
