FIELD: engines and pumps.

SUBSTANCE: combined fuel filter includes a housing, a cover plate, a separating device consisting of a cyclone with internal and external screws of various length, a filter element, an electric heating device, a water availability indicator and a settling sump with a drain hole. Settling sump is equipped with a stabiliser and an automatic sediment drain device consisting of a switch, sensors of upper and lower sediment levels, an electromagnetic valve arranged in lower part of the settling sump; there is also a separately located sediment collection station consisting of a corrugated accumulation tank, a drain valve and a connection fuel line. Electromagnetic valve inlet is interconnected with the drain hole of the settling sump, and the outlet is connected via the fuel line to the corrugated accumulation tank.

EFFECT: drain of sediment from fuel filter is performed automatically to a special sediment collection station, thus improving environmental security of automotive equipment.
