FIELD: information technology.

SUBSTANCE: storage medium contains video data and graphics data of menu pages. Graphics data contain an interactive composition segment (ICS). The ICS contains first time information which assigns time when a button can be selected from a menu page, second time information indicating the time of the end of interactive display, at which the ICS becomes invalid. The ICS also contains a field which indicates the display set type. The type indicates whether the display set contains all data needed to display composition of the menu page, or whether the display set contains only data which are altered from the previous composition, defined by the previous display set. Each menu page contains a page identifier and transition effect information which is applied to the corresponding menu page when performing transition of the corresponding menu page. Menu page transition is performed when the menu page is displayed or disappears.

EFFECT: providing multiple menu pages independent of the type of mainstream applications and enabling application of different transition effects when transitioning between menu pages.
