FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: polymer additive for ice cover, which improves sliding properties, elastic-plastic and strength properties, regelation, organoleptic and optical characteristics of ice based on fluorine-containing oxyalkylene organosiloxane block-copolymers which contain fluorine atoms in terminal and/or side radicals of the backbone molecular chain. The method of obtaining a polymer-containing ice cover involves adding to the poured water an additive in form of emulsions and/or microemulsions, colloidal and/or real solutions in amount of 0.1-5 ppm, subjected to preliminary low-temperature vacuum purification at temperature not higher than 23°C from low-basic alcohols, ketones and aldehydes, when modifying ice in corner zone by 1.3-1.5-fold reduction of the speed of combines in said zones and, consequently, periodic increase in speed thereof when coming out into straight areas of the ice cover.
EFFECT: improved physical and mechanical properties of the ice cover without losing lustre and transparency.
