SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the technology of silicates and compositions of ceramic mixtures which can be used in making general-purpose articles. The ceramic mixture contains clay, clay wastes from beneficiation of zircon-ilmenite ore, pegmatite and marshalite, with the following ratio of components, wt %: clay - 77.0-82.0; clay wastes from beneficiation of zircon-ilmenite ore - 3.0-5.0; pegmatite - 3.0-5.0; marshalite - 10.0-15.0.
EFFECT: high strength of articles.
