SUBSTANCE: invention relates to apparatus for treating waste water from oil-containing and mechanical impurities and can be used at petrochemical, metallurgical, fuel and energy companies as well as for treating industrial wastes of engineering structures and communal waste water. The apparatus has a housing with a cover, an inlet pipe for oil-containing waste water, an outlet pipe for clarified water, an outlet pipe for oil products, an outlet pipe for sludge as well as a coalescing filter inside the housing. The cover is a mechanism for collecting oil products, having a casing and a tray which have the shape of spherical segments, each rigidly mounted on its circular base, oriented by the spherical surface upwards and lying coaxially one above the other, wherein the circular bases of the casing and the tray form between themselves a height-controlled suction slit; the top part of the casing is connected by a pipe to a drafting device lying outside the housing, and under the mechanism for collecting oil products, there is a conical funnel which is connected to the tray, the bottom part of which is connected to the outlet pipe for oil products.

EFFECT: simple design, high rate of removal of oil products from the apparatus, shorter duration of the waste water treatment process.
