MIXING HEAD OF LIQUID-PROPELLANT ENGINE CHAMBER Russian patent published in 2013 - IPC F02K9/52

Abstract RU 2484289 C1

FIELD: engines and pumps.

SUBSTANCE: mixing head of a liquid-propellant engine (LPE) includes a housing, an oxidiser supply unit, a hydrogen supply unit, a kerosene supply unit, coaxial spray injectors installed in the above units of the mixing head along concentric circles. Coaxial spray injectors include a tubular housing with the main axial channel, as well as a blind tube fixed at least on one pylon coaxially to the housing inside it, which is made as an integral part of the pylon and the tubular housing. An inlet through hole is made along the pylon, which is spread from external surface of the injector to the axial channel in the blind tube on the side of its blind end. The blind tube channel is formed on the outlet side with its blind axial channel and on the inlet side with an inlet through hole in the pylon. The main axial channel of the tubular housing on the side of the outlet has stepped change of the flow passage, which is made so that the flow passage of the housing is reduced from pylons to the outlet part, and mainly in the form of a confuser. A sleeve is installed on the outlet part of the tubular housing so that an annular cavity, in which screw channels are arranged, is formed between outer surface of the housing and inner surface of the sleeve. The above channels are spread on the side of outer surface of the injector till they interact with the main axial channel. On the side of the axial inlet of the tubular housing there made is an adjustment element in the form of a chamfer provided with possibility of changing its geometrical parameters during adjustment. The tubular housing is split-type. On external surface of the blind tube, which is arranged in outlet part of the tubular housing, there made are pylons interacting with internal surface of the tubular housing. Longitudinal axes of the above pylons are installed at an angle to longitudinal axis of the injector axis. In the pylons there are the channels, the outlet part of which is directed at an angle to longitudinal axis of the injector, which is different from the installation angle of longitudinal axes of the above pylons. The inlet part of the above channels is connected to the cavity of the blind tube, and the outlet part is connected to the annular cavity formed with the tubular housing and the blind tube. Axes of channels in the pylons are located opposite to the direction of axes of screw channels in annular cavity between sleeve and external surface of the tubular housing. The blind tube is split-type and consists of a pylon part and a tip; at that, a jet nozzle is installed at their joint point.

EFFECT: increasing the economy of the working process at the injector operation both as three-component and two-component one.
