FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention discloses universal all-season engine oil, which contains base oil and nine functional additives in different ratios, where the base oil used can be low-viscosity distillate oil with kinematic viscosity of 2-4 mm²/s at 100°C in a mixture with a residual component with kinematic viscosity of 15-20 mm²/s at the same temperature in ratio of (12-15): 1, or poly-alpha-olefin oil with kinematic viscosity of 3-5 mm²/s at 100°C or a product of hydrocatalytic processes with kinematic viscosity of 3-6 15-20 mm²/s at the same temperature. The engine oil satisfies requirements for viscosity class 4z/14 and group "D" of operational properties according to GOST 17479.1.

EFFECT: high efficiency of the engine oil owing to its improved anti-oxidant, anti-wear and anti-friction properties in conditions of high-temperature catalytic oxidation and low operating temperatures without deterioration of detergent and anti-corrosion properties of the oil.
