FIELD: textiles, paper.

SUBSTANCE: method of carbonisation of wool fiber consists of treatment of wool fiber in carbonisation solution containing sulfuric acid and detergent while simultaneous ultrasound exposure at a frequency of 20-22 kHz, wattage 1.0-2.5 kW for 10-15 min, removing of excess of the carbonisation solution, preliminary drying for 15-20 minutes, mechanical removal of vegetable matter, neutralisation, water washing and final drying. The acid in the carbonisation solution is used at a concentration of 1.5-3.0% by weight of the fiber.

EFFECT: improvement of quality of the treated fiber and reduction of energy consumption of the process.
