FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: invention may be used in designing atomizer heads for liquid-propellant engine combustion chambers. Proposed method consists in feeding starting fuel into engine combustion chamber in starting via starting fuel feed channel. Starting fuel feed channel outlet accommodated coaxial hollow spring-loaded axial-displacement sleeve with sealing surface made at its channel inlet. In feeding starting fuel, said sleeve is displaced by starting fuel toward fire bottom for its outlet to interact with mate shaped surface at fire bottom inner surface. After starting the engine, said sleeve is displaced from fire bottom by fuel unless sleeve inlet sealing surface interacts with mate sealing element to shut off starting fuel feed channel. Sealing element is arranged in starting fuel feed channel.
EFFECT: higher and reliability of ignition system.
