SUBSTANCE: invention relates to compositions of crude mixtures which can be used in making facing tiles. The crude mixture for making facing tiles contains clay, nickel production slag, water, ground quartz sand, liquid potassium glass and kaolin, with the following ratio of components, wt %: clay - 37.7-41.7; nickel production slag - 10.0-14.0; water - 22.0-26.0; ground quartz sand - 14.0-16.0; liquid potassium glass - 0.3-0.5; kaolin - 8.0-10.0.

EFFECT: high frost resistance of articles.
