FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: molten electrolyte for a chemical current source, which contains lithium nitrate and bromide, further contains potassium bromide, with the following ratio of components, wt %: lithium nitrate 41.53-45.46, potassium bromide 24.07-25.80, lithium bromide 30.47-32.67. The disclosed electrolyte composition enables to lower the melting point of the electrolyte by 14-25°C and specific enthalpy of fusion by 99-87 kJ/kg.
EFFECT: saving power when converting the electrolyte to working state, wider temperature range for use thereof.
