FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the technology of silicates and compositions of ceramic mixtures which can be used to make floor tiles. The ceramic mixture for making floor tiles contains refractory clay, ground expanded pearlite, bentonite, ground quartz sand and basalt fibre, with the following ratio of components, wt %: refractory clay - 20.0-24.0; ground expanded pearlite - 6.0-8.0; bentonite - 47.0-52.5; ground quartz sand - 18.0-22.0; basalt fibre - 1.0-1.5.
EFFECT: high wear resistance of articles.
