FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: continuous cast steel billet is heated to 1050-1150°C, roughing is done with its completion at temperature of not more than 900°C, a strip of round cross section is cooled, and continuous finishing is carried out in temperature range from 850°C to 680°C with total coefficient of elongation of at least 4.5. Besides, carbon steel has the following chemical composition, wt %: 0.06-0.12 C, 0.35-0.65 Mn, 0.17-0.37 Si, 0.01-0.15 Cr, 0.001-0.004 Ca, 0.004-0.012 N, balance - Fe and admixtures.
EFFECT: improved process plasticity and evenness of mechanical properties of rolled wire.
