SUBSTANCE: invention refers to veterinary science, particularly to veterinary obstetrics and gynaecology, and concerns the prevention of retained placenta in cows. That is ensured by feeding a cow with good velour grasses for the first 15-20 minutes postpartum with using 1-3% salted water in the amount of 10 litres.
EFFECT: method provides both fore-stomach contraction and effective reflex uterus involution, and well-timed expulsion of afterbirth during 3-4 hours that provides its high preventive effectiveness and profitability.
