FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to aerospace engineering. Fly-back booster comprises housing, oxidiser and fuel tanks, nose compartment with nose cone and air intakes stopped by rotary plug, intertank and tail compartments, rocket and air-jet engines. Liquid oxygen oxidiser tank is arranged between nose and intertank compartments, liquid methane fuel tank is arranged between nose and intertank compartments and adjoins directly to the latter and shares bottom with oxidiser tank while liquid methane fuel tank is arranged between intertank and tail compartments. Total volume of tanks arranged between nose and intertank compartments equals that of oxidiser tank while that of the tank located between intertank and tail compartments equals that of fuel tank in case kerosene is used as fuel. Four-engine rocket propulsor allows shutting down of emergent engine and boosting the trust of serviceable engines to 133%. Fly-back booster is equipped with three air-jet engines. Two of the latter are arranged on sides of nose compartment while the third one is arranged above it. Air intakes of said engines are stopped by their appropriate plugs furnished with drives.
EFFECT: higher thrust and reliability.
