FIELD: instrument engineering.

SUBSTANCE: viscosity metre comprises a housing, an outer and an inner cones forming the measuring gap. Also the viscosity meter comprises a drive, a feed and a discharge channels, an upper and a lower bearings, an adjusting screw, a braking device. At that the braking device comprises four permanent magnets mounted in the housing of the viscosity meter, and two solenoid coils located on the frame. In addition, on the frame of the viscosity metre an induction sensor is mounted.

EFFECT: enhanced functionality of the viscosity metre, automation of the process of determining viscosity and increase of accuracy of measurements.
