FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: proposed device comprises hob assembly fitted on drive shaft, arbor bearing, hob turn angle adjustment mechanism, hob rotary drive fitted on drive shaft in the case and assembly to transmit rotation from drive to hob. Said assembly comprises at least two bevel gears to transmit rotation fro drive to hob. Note here that drive shaft rotation axis is located perpendicular to drive shaft axis. Axes of hob and drive rotation are located in one plane to intersect at right angle so that arbor center is located at spindle axis height. Note also that arbor rotational axis transverses the hob enter of gravity. Cases of hob and drive are coupled by screws to allow hob body deflection through -15 to +50° to change the hob inclination. Arbor bearing for hob handling is composed of slide bearing arranged at the bottom. Clearance of 0.02 mm around hob drive shaft is arranged between device case and arbor with flywheel jointed therewith and hob engaged therewith by keyless friction joint. Note here that bevel gears feature round teeth.
