SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the technology of silicates and compositions of ceramic mixtures which can be used in making facing tiles. The ceramic mixture for making facing tiles contains kaolin, clay, marble powder, potsherd, carboxymethyl cellulose and quartz sand, with the following ratio of components, wt %: kaolin 59.5-69.6; clay 10.0-15.0; marble powder 0.1-0.2; potsherd 0.1-0.2; carboxymethyl cellulose 0.1-0.2; quartz sand 20.0-25.0.
