SUBSTANCE: first white balance correction value is calculated in accordance with similarity between image data obtained by an image capturing unit and past image data obtained in the past, and first white balance correction is performed in image data according to the first white balance correction value. A brightness correction value and a colour correction value are calculated in accordance with similarity between corrected image data and past image data corrected during first white balance correction. Using one of said values, the first white balance correction value is corrected, thereby obtaining a second white balance correction value. According to the obtained correction value, second white balance correction is performed, as well as brightness correction and colour correction in image data obtained by the image capturing unit.

EFFECT: reducing differences between successive frames when adjusting white balance.
