SUBSTANCE: in the method for axial positioning of bearings 10, 11 on the journal 9 of the rotor shaft there is an axial gap arranged in a tray 2, as an intermediate ring 23 and two bearings 10, 11 are installed with tight fit so that the outer ring 13a of the bearing 10 forcedly moves in the axial direction relative to the inner ring 14a of the bearing 10 within the distance that determines the required axial gap.
EFFECT: invention provides for installation of an optimal gap value.
