FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to removal of carbon dioxide and ammonium from flue gas flow. Method of reducing ammonium amount from CO2-depleted flue gas flow received from CO2-trap with application of ammonium comprises bringing flue gas flow in contact with ammoniated suspension or solution inside absorption tower for removal of carbon dioxide. This creates flue gas flow including ammonium. It includes also feeding the produced flue gas flow into flushing tank with first and second absorption stages. Each of said stages include mass transfer assy and fluid feed channel. First fluid is fed in absorption first stage so that it flows in countercurrent to gas flow for contact between gas flow and mass transfer assemblies of absorption first and second assemblies. Second fluid is fed in absorption first stage so that it flows in countercurrent to gas flow for contact between gas flow and mass transfer assemblies of absorption second assy to absorb ammonium.
EFFECT: decreased absorption of emission of contaminants.
