FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: method of calibrating a lever-type borehole geometry tool (BGT) implies installation of the device with opened levers followed by mounting of a calibration device on top of the BGT with the calibration device grooves being matched with the BGT travelling groove under the calibration element which is set for certain lever opening radius, then the calibration device travels along the tool axis and another lever of the BGT being calibrated is set under the calibrating element. Note here that the outer surface of the BGT being calibrated and the base surface of the calibration device are to be matched coaxially and clearance free by pressing the calibrated BGT outer surface against the calibration device base surface. Then opening values of all levers are calibrated in sequence by unidirectional device. Device for the implementation of the above method of lever-type BGT calibration comprises a casing made as a sector cut out of a cylinder of the relevant size, a special system is mounted on it and is meant to adjust the clearance between the tool being calibrated and the calibration device and to ensure coaxiality of the tool's and calibration device's casings, the system consists of two stops coaxial to the tool casing which are rigidly connected to the calibration device casing, in the central part of the stops there are grooves perpendicular to the device where pressing regulators are mounted, the latter consist of two thread-interconnected screws and two longitudinally extended plates. Bars with calibrating elements are fixed at the casing, each of the elements corresponds to the specified tool lever opening radiuses.

EFFECT: possibility to calibrate lever-type borehole geometry and diameter measuring tools, geometry pigs, caliper tools and radius measuring tools with high accuracy.
