FIELD: measurement equipment.

SUBSTANCE: meter of phase amplitude characteristics of a frequency converter is designed to determine phase error of frequency converters designed for operation in a wide dynamic range of inlet signals. The meter comprises the following serially connected components: a controlled source of test signals, the first controlled voltage divider, an investigated frequency converter, the second controlled voltage divider, a controlled signal switchboard, the first limiter amplifier, a phase detector, a microcontroller, a liquid crystal indicator, a controlled phase shift compensator, connected by its inlet to the outlet of the controlled source of test signals, and with the outlet - to the controlled switchboard of signals and the second amplifier-limiter, the outlet of which is connected to the inlet of the phase detector. Introduction of the second controlled voltage divider with appropriate control cycles into the device stabilised the level of the outlet signal of the investigated frequency converter and made it possible to increase accuracy of measurement of the phase and amplitude characteristic. To eliminate internal phase error of the introduced voltage divider, a controlled phase shift compensator is used in the intermediate frequency signal circuit, which is identical to the second controlled additional voltage divider. Introduction of appropriate links and their temporary switching with other elements of the device eliminates internal phase error of the voltage divider, which varies the level of the inlet measurement signal of the voltage converter.

EFFECT: higher accuracy of measurement of phase amplitude characteristics of frequency converters.
