FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: resin system is a mixture of amino-formaldehyde resins. The first amino-formaldehyde resin contains formaldehyde, urea and melamine and has a first molar ratio of formaldehyde to urea and melamine. The second amino-formaldehyde resin contains at least formaldehyde and urea and has a second molar ratio of formaldehyde to urea. The second molar ratio is greater than the first molar ratio. The combined molar ratio of formaldehyde to urea and melamine in the resin system ranges from about 0.6 to about 1.24. The method of producing the resin system involves feeding the first amino-formaldehyde resin into a mixer first, followed by the second amino-formaldehyde resin and then mixing the resins. The finished article contains said resin system and a component made of cellulose material.
EFFECT: invention reduces the amount of formaldehyde released and enables to obtain articles with improved physical properties.
