FIELD: radio engineering, communication.
SUBSTANCE: method of searching for a noise-like signal involves receiving a noise-like signal with an optimal receiver, having a filter matched with the defined noise-like signal with a detector and a decision device, which makes a decision on the presence in the received signal a defined type of the noise-like signal when the signal at the output of the filter matched with said noise-like signal with a detector exceeds a given voltage threshold, wherein the threshold value is calculated using the formula: P=k*(Ur-Av)+Av, where Av is the average value of the signal at the output of the matched filter with a detector in a sliding window with length equal to a quarter of the duration of the noise-like signal, Ur is the stored value of the last peak of the autocorrelation function at the output of the matched filter with a detector, k is a constant of proportionality of the relative value of lateral peaks of the autocorrelation function of the given noise-like signal and, upon exceeding the given threshold, a pulse is also generated for synchronising the receiver with the moment of detecting the noise-like signal.
EFFECT: high reliability of searching for a defined noise-like signal in a received signal at any moment in time in a complex interference environment, including in the dynamic range of the useful signal at the input of the receiving device greater than the value of the ratio of the maximum of the autocorrelation function of the unknown noise-like signal to side emissions.
