FIELD: weapons and ammunition.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to armament. A self-loading pistol consists of a barrel, a frame, an unlocked breech mechanism, a cartridge, a recoil spring, a recoil spring guide, a sear, a release trigger, a safety lock and fire selector, a striker, a firing-pin spring and a release lever. The sear is arranged in the free breech mechanism. A striker cocking mechanism is located in the free breech mechanism. The striker cocking mechanism is made in the form of a two-arm lever with the arm ratio of at least 3:1. A large arm of the striker cocking mechanism can contact the striker. The frame has a projection that can contact a small arm of the striker cocking mechanism. Mutual arrangement of the frame projection, the striker and the striker cocking mechanism has been chosen based on possibility of simultaneous contact of the small arm of the striker cocking mechanism with the frame projection and the large arm of the striker cocking mechanism with the striker at the initial period of the free breech mechanism coil till it covers the distance that does not exceed 1/2 of length of the used cartridge.
