FIELD: physics, testing.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to test engineering and robustness tests. The centrifugal apparatus for testing long samples has a housing, a platform inside said housing, a rotary drive for the platform, a guide mounted radially on the platform, sample catchers mounted on the guide and electromagnetic latches for the catchers. The apparatus is provided with a mechanism for independent movement of the latches on the guide, which is in form of a bolt mounted on the platform parallel to the guide, a drive for reverse rotation of the bolt, nuts placed on the length of the bolt, pushers movably mounted on the bolt and made in form of prongs between the teeth of which there are nuts, and latches for turning the nuts about the bolt. The latches for the catchers are capable of electromagnetically interacting with the catchers and are connected to corresponding pushers.

EFFECT: conducting tests with stepwise variation of loads on the length of the sample in new conditions: with variation of the load distribution gradient on the length of the sample and variation of the load increment in steps without unloading the sample.
