SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of electric engineering, in particular, to hand-held electric machines. The claimed hand-held electric machine (10) has elongated motor housing (16) serving as a handle with commutator motor (50) placed in it; at that electric motor brush (39) are spring-actuated in brush-carrier (28) with box (38). Brush-carrier (28) is fixed independently/separately in motor housing (16) to which set of coordinate axes is related; first of all, longitudinal axis (18), vertical (20) and transversal (22) ones. At that according to the invention box (38) of the brush-holder (28) is offset from vertical axis (20) of the motor housing (16) per an angle of about 20°, and it is oriented primarily in relation to longitudinal axis (18).

EFFECT: improving efficient use of structure space of the motor housing and thus reducing dimensions of hand-held electric machine, simplifying process of brush installation and replacement in such electric machine.
