FIELD: personal usage articles.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to dust catching technology and may be used in machine building and other industries for cleaning dust-contaminated gases. The technical effect is achieved as follows: the dust catcher includes a cyclone containing an inlet nipple and an outlet exhaust nipple connected to the ventilation system; the specificity of the dust catcher for removal of dust being caught consists in the cyclone designed in the form of an inverse cone connected to a straight conic frustrum via their bases with the inlet nipple positioned in the upper part of the side surface of the inverse conic frustrum while the upper exhaust nipple (the immersion depth whereof is not in excess of 0.2…0.6 of the cyclone operational part height) is designed so that to enable vertical motion, the lower conic frustrum connected to the nipple immersed, through the cone, into the inside of the dust catcher that is divided into the upper and the lower compartments with a partition, the volume ratio of the cyclone and the dust catcher operation zone being within the range of 1.0…1.8.
EFFECT: increased efficiency of the process of catching dust in off-gases of varied technological processes.
