SUBSTANCE: radial flow compressor comprises: cover 100, housing 30 and working wheel. Cover 100 includes upstream end 40a and downstream end 100b. Case 30 has upstream edge 32 and downstream edge 34. Vaned working wheel is fitted in the housing to run therein. Cover can close said vanes 28 to outer surface of make gas flow channel 38 extending between case upstream and downstream edges. Cover is secured to the case upstream edge by its upstream end while its downstream end 100b is free. additionally, said cover comprises thrust 102 to limit axial displacement of axial displacement of it downstream end 100b relative to the case downstream edge 34 in operation of the compressor.
EFFECT: ruled out contact between cover and vanes.
