FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: in the proposed method they generate three control pulses, a reference bipolar signal is shaped, pulses are generated to control valves of the voltage inverter as zero level is exceeded by differences of the reference bipolar and control signals, instantaneous values of phase currents of the voltage inverter are measured, the amplitude value of the resulting vector of phase currents of the voltage inverter is calculated, and when it achieves the specified value, the frequency of the generator of the reference bipolar sawtooth signal is reduced in the function from the amplitude value of the resulting vector of the inverter current.

EFFECT: reduced mass and dimensions of a generation system, its increased working resource by reduction of WPM frequency in overload modes by current of a voltage inverter, which results in reduction of dynamic losses in power switches.
