SUBSTANCE: method includes determination of depth of object impregnation by location of metering electrodes in the form of oval shape with the number 2n in the section of the object, measurement of impedances between all nearest adjacent metering electrodes in the first series, impedances between all metering electrodes in the second series with a difference of one, comparison of results, which are used to judge on depth of impregnation. The device comprises a generator of AC voltage, a four-arm bridge metering circuit, a scale amplifier, an operational amplifier, an amplitude rectifier, an analogue to digital converter, a calculating device and two multiplexers. It additionally includes 2n-e number of metering electrodes, a shaper of rectangular pulses and a unit of multiplexer control. Metering electrodes are located on an object in the form of oval shape and are connected to information inputs of multiplexers, metering electrodes from 1 to 2n-1 are connected with the first multiplexer, and from the second one to 2n with the second multiplexer, the input of shaper of the rectangular pulses is connected to the AC voltage generator, and the output - to the input of the multiplexer control unit, two equal outlets of which are accordingly connected with address inputs of the first and second multiplexers.

EFFECT: higher accuracy of impedance measurement, expansion of functional capabilities and more information on object of measurement and control.
