FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to biocidal composition and method of fast decontamination and long-term conservation of alkaline aqueous medium. Method of inhibiting growth of microorganisms in alkaline aqueous medium requiring both fast decontamination and long-term conservation, includes introduction into alkaline aqueous medium of biocidal mixture, which contains 2.2-dibromo-3-nitrylopropionamide and 2-brom-2-nitro-1.3-propanediol, where aqueous medium contains less than 15 ppm of 5-chlor-2-methyl-3-isothiazolone and 2-methyl-3-isothiazolone mixture.
EFFECT: method makes it possible to ensure fast decontamination, long-term conservation from growth of microorganisms in alkaline aqueous medium.
