FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: set of invention relates to crushing of materials. Proposed crusher comprises first and second wear plates (4) and (5) fitted on crushing cone (3) and machine bed (16), respectively. Method of consists in measuring, first, of stress describing parameter in operation. Then, medium magnitude of said parameter and that of its deviation are determined. Thereafter, maximum magnitude is calculated proceeding from said medium and deviation magnitudes. Maximum magnitude is compared with control values to adjust crusher operation proceeding from said comparison of maximum value and control values. Control device comprises means to receive measured parameter describing the stress, means to define mean magnitude of said parameters, means to define parameters deviation, means to calculate maximum magnitude proceeding from medium and deviation magnitudes, means for comparison maximum magnitude with control magnitude and means to control crusher operation proceeding from maximum and control magnitudes. Proposed crusher is characterised by the use of this control device.
EFFECT: longer life.
