FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to clamshell-type transportation devices which are used in blanks processing on multiple-point presses. A clamshell device contains a fixed base and two clamshell lines provided with mechanisms for their clamping and unclamping, vertical travel and translational motion between the press positions. A drive for clamping and unclamping the clamshell lines mechanism and a drive for their vertical travel mechanism are made with motors having a disc-type rotor and a stator. The stator is installed on a fixed base in the working area of the corresponding drive.
EFFECT: rapidity of blanks transfer.
