FIELD: aircraft engineering.
SUBSTANCE: spacecraft is placed to orbit. Spacecraft onboard hardware comprises navigation devices of global navigation satellite system consumer and hardware for measurement of frequency of signal transmitted by observed spacecraft. During spacecraft orbital flight orbit parameters are defined with the help of consumer navigation hardware. Observed spacecraft signal frequency measurement program is developed to measure the frequency of said signal. Measured signal frequency is used as the navigation parameter of observed spacecraft orbit. Measured navigation parameters are accumulated and measurement results are processed. Observed spacecraft orbit is defined from measured signal frequency magnitudes and spacecraft orbit parameters.
EFFECT: accelerated measurements required for orbit determination.
