FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: oil-air emulsion with high content of air is formed at discharge pump inlet at extreme engine operating conditions (for example, at aircraft acrobatic flights) due to increase in hydraulic resistance in discharge lines, increased mixing of oil with fuel and intensified dissolution of air in oil. This can result in decrease in lift and discharge pump efficiency, discharge pump being a reliable component of oil system. Problem pump oil chamber feed and discharge balance is disturbed to overfill said chamber and to overheat the oil. Both indications are accompanied with oil leaks from oil tank that brings about the engine "oil hunger" conditions.
EFFECT: recovery of oil feed and discharge, normal operation of the engine.
