FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: device for weight measuring of balls consists of a receiving hopper, a vibrator, a weighing bucket with a locking device, a resistance strain gauge and a control unit. At that, it also comprises a ball counter and a belt conveyor, installed between the vibrator and the weighing bucket. The locking device of the weighing bucket is designed in the form of a rotating drum, driven by a pneumatic cylinder with a pawl-and-ratchet mechanism. On the drum surface there are coaxial annular guide grooves of a semi-oval profile, the width of which is 10-15% greater than the diameter of balls to be weighed, separated from each other by equal distances. Spherical recesses are located at the bottom of the grooves. The volume of these recesses is sufficient to retain the balls on the inclined plane, and lines of geometric centres of the spherical recesses pass at an angle of 10-30 degrees with respect to generating lines of the drum.
EFFECT: improvement of reliability and measuring accuracy of balls.
