FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: proposed brake shoe comprises steel carcass and arc-like body consisting of separate friction elements secured to steel carcass. Said elements are made of friction material. Steel carcass has clip and guides welded to outer surface. Guides and steel carcass have pressure plates to retain friction elements at steel carcass. Shoe friction element is shaped to prismatoid with trapezium-shaped bases. Said bases have recesses to accommodate steel carcass pressure plates. Friction elements fitted in steel carcass are secured by squeezing of lateral pressure plates while two extreme elements are pressed by carcass guide pressure plates. Friction elements are made of iron-base metal.
EFFECT: higher safety and wear resistance, better manufacturability.
