FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: gas turbine engine axial compressor wheel comprises the disc with cylindrical U-like outer surface with vanes secured thereto by lengthwise lock joints and with lengthwise L-like inserts with locking feet. Lengthwise inserts are locked in axial direction at the disc outer surface between the vanes with the help of crosswise dovetail joints. End faces at ends of each lengthwise L-like inserts contact with the disc outer surface.
EFFECT: simplified design, higher reliability.
