FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: absorbent core for absorbent products, e.g. for menstrual or blood absorption. The absorbent core comprises a carrier layer bearing an absorbent polymer layer bearing an adhesive layer. The carrier layer, the coating layer or both can comprise a composite of at least a first layer and a third layer of fibrous non-woven fabrics. The above first layer and the above third layer contain synthetic fibres with an average denier of fibres from approximately 1 to approximately 6.0. The above composite additionally comprises a second layer containing a pulp; the composite layers are arranged in the following order: the first - the second - the third, and coupled together by network of the fibres of the respective layers that can be ensured by e.g. hydro entangling. The above first and third layers of the above composite can be made of spunbond fibres.

EFFECT: more effective use of the absorbent core, better collection of fluid discharges, flexible skin fit.
