FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to portable motor chain saw. Saw case accommodates chain saw drive, saw chain displacing around guide bus. Said drive comprises ICE with crankshaft arranged perpendicular to saw lengthwise axis. Saw drive sprocket is fitted at one end of said drive and engine cooling fan impeller is fitted on opposite end. Cold airflow from cooling fan flow perpendicular to saw lengthwise axis, over ICE cylinder located between drive sprocket and said fan. Cold airflow escapes through case opening. Besides, pipe-like handle is arranged around ICE housing perpendicular to saw lengthwise axis and aligned with guide rail arranged between pipe-like handle and guide bus end. Guide rail end is fitted nearby case opening for cold airflow discharge. Air guide is located nearby said opening and secured at guide rail end or made integral therewith.
EFFECT: better cooling of silencer.
