SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a fixture element whereto a boot or shoe fixture unit is or may be attached so that to form a fixture for fastening such boot or shoe to a sporting article (5). The sporting article (5) may be in particular represented by skis (1), such as cross-country of tourist skis or roller skis (6). The sporting article (5) is assumed to have a longitudinally extended body (7) with a top surface (8). The said fixing element represented by a fixture plate is formed by a central longitudinal section (11) and at least one lateral section (12a, 12b) positioned on one or the both long sides (15) of the longitudinal section (11). The width (13) of the central longitudinal section (11) is approximately equal to that of the sporting article (5) top surface (8) while the width (14) of the said at least one lateral section (12a, 12b) is less than the thickness of the sporting article (5) whereto the fixing element is to be attached. A flexible joint (20) is positioned between the central longitudinal section (11) and either of the said at least one lateral section(s) (12a, 12b) so that at least one lateral section (12a, 12b) may be deflected away from the central longitudinal section (11) plane. Finally, the central longitudinal section (11) is adapted for contact with the sporting article (5) top surface(8) while the said at least one lateral section (12a, 12b) is adapted (die to the flexible joints (20)) for bending and contacting the sporting article (5) lateral side for attachment to such article.
