SUBSTANCE: header for combing spikes comprises a lower drum, a screw, a conveyor, a shredder, and a paddle drum. On each blade of the paddle drum the combing elements are mounted. The combing elements are made in the form of a sector of a circle. The paddle drum diameter is greater than that of the lower drum. The paddle drum is rotated at a higher speed than the lower drum. The paddle drum is made with the ability to change the position in the vertical plane.
EFFECT: increased quality of combing spikes, reduced amount of losses.
